Activities
La Paz captures the beauty and authenticity of everything that is Mexico. Although this is the capital of Baja California Sur, La Paz embraces its small town energy together with its rich history.
Take a walk down the Malecón, a beachfront blvd, to access the many secrets awaiting you here. Have your senses reel in the fabulous local cuisines as you charge up for a night on the town or another day of activity on the Sea of Cortez. Kayak with pods of dolphins or migrating herds of various species of whales. Want more interaction? Swim and snorkel with playful sea lions at Los Islotes or scuba dive with giant Manta Rays.
Referred to as the “World’s Aquarium,” the Sea of Cortez is one of the richest bodies of water in the world. Listen to the songs of migrating whales as they make their journey from the cold waters of the Artic to the warm waters of the Sea of Cortez. Legendary world-class sport fishing for Marlin, Tuna, Dorado, Yellowtail, Rooster Fish, the ever elusive Wahoo, as well as other tropical game fish, is year round here.
Explore uninhabited islands and hiking trails; maybe find your way to some ancient caves in distant canyon locations. Of course nobody will complain if you find yourself doing nothing but relaxing with your feet buried in the sand.
