The MARIANA is the perfect motor yacht for sport fishing and comfortably cruising or scuba diving the Sea of Cortez. I landed my 185 lb. striped marlin after a 40 minute fight, with much needed pointers and encouragement from the crew. As I tended my reel, they cleaned the fishing cockpit of the other rods and worked the helm expertly so as to minimize the odds of my prize getting away. A few hours later we hooked into half a dozen yellow fin tuna which were cooked up for lunch by the crew with a wonderful Spanish sauce and enjoyed by us with a couple bottles of Chilean Chardonnay. That evening while anchored off Isla Espiritu Santo and a couple of us tried our hand in the galley preparing dinner, three of us tossed on our scuba gear and had a great dive in 70ish degree water with about 75 feet visibility. The swim platform off the fishing cockpit is ideal for entering and exiting the water with your gear … the first fishing boat I have ever chartered with such easy water ingress / egress. I look forward to chartering this boat again with my pals and recommend the MARIANA for anyone who wants to get away for a few days to catch some fish with a few friends in style. To the crew of MARIANA, Buena Suerte and Muchas Gracias … Adios!

I thought that travelling from Canada wasn’t going to be easy, but the advice provided was very clear and helpful during my travel preparations. Our first day on the boat we swam with Sea Lions at Los Islotes, a famous dive site in the Sea of Cortez……something I don’t do often in Toronto. Later that afternoon we hooked into a Dorado feeding frenzy, that words can’t describe. I had never fished before being on board the MARIANA and the crew was nothing short of outstanding.
